We want to install a monitor to know how much energy consumption in the building

Assistant to Governor for Spatial Planning and Environment, Oswar Muadzin Mungkasa said, it is part of a commitment to reduce electricity, water and CO2 emissions from every building in Jakarta up to 30 percent by 2030.

"We want to install a monitor to know how much energy consumption in the building. Most importantly, the behavior of building occupants must change to save more energy," he stated, Wednesday (8/23).

According to him, there are still about 800-1,000 buildings that have not imposed the Green Building concept. Thus, the monitoring that will be tested in early October is an early breakthrough to be applied in all buildings, either government or private.

"This is being done and needs a process," he told.

While, Jakarta Industry and Energy Dept. Energy Section Head, Maharani Dian revealed her side is still preparing a tool called Dashboard Monitoring and its software.

"This tool is able to monitor electricity consumption in real time so it will be known to be the most energy efficient building," he closed.
